Silver John

The Silver John is a pattern built to imitate a Mayfly or Nymph. This variant of the copper john is just as effective but with a twist. The bead at the front gives it flash and increases sink rate, the peacock heart also adds flash and bulk to the body to attract fish through the water. The wire adds durability and color to the fly, making it an effective fly for euro nymphing or just fishing it by itself. The Silver John is a useful fly for all situations.
