Purple Haze
The Purple Haze is a variation of the world famous Parachute Adams, designed to create a more noticeable fly. Invented by guide Andy Carlson on Montana's Bitterroot River, it is used as a searching pattern or to imitate mayflies, midges, and caddisflies. The Purple Haze works very well on cloudy days because of the strong silhouette it provides, a very useful fly for all types of situations.
